I went to the doctor on Thursday morning and I got to hear the heartbeat : ) It was a quick visit and it didn't take the doctor long at all to find the heartbeat. He said let's try getting it from outside and he used a little wand thing, moved it around a few times and found the heartbeat. He said it sounded good and when they can get the heartbeat from the outside the chances of anything going wrong(miscarriage or such) drops from 20% down to 2%. So that made me feel good! Only a couple more weeks and the first trimester will be over! My next appointment is March 12th and at that appointment we schedule the ultrasound to find out whether we're having a boy or a girl (it will be in early April). We can't wait!!!!
We told Rick's parents and sister the news yesterday and told my family today! I thought Valentine's Day was a perfect time to tell them. They are all happy for us and excited about the new addition to our families!
