4 Months old

Noah is 4 Months old today! He is definitely bigger then most 4 month olds though. We weighed him on Christmas and he is 19 pounds already! He goes to the doctor for his 4 month check up next Monday. Here is a cute picture from earlier of him trying out his new sippy cup.

We had a busy Christmas and visited lots of family. Noah got lots and lots of love and attention and lots of wonderful gifts : ) He might have been a bit spoiled but its hard not to spoil such a cute baby!

18 pounds!

Earlier in the week we took Noah to the doctors because he had a cough and some congestion. It was just a cold but when we were there they weighed him and he is up to 18 pounds! He seems to get bigger everyday! We were in the store the other day and there was a little baby in a car seat in front of us in line. The lady working asked the father how old the baby was and he said 4 months. I couldn't believe it because Noah was like twice her size and he is only 3 months!

We had a great Vacation! Noah was such a good baby : ) We did lots of fun things and relaxed a bit too. Here is a picture of Rick and Noah at Colonial Williamsburg.

At Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. This was at the penguin exhibit. We had so much fun at the park. There were lots of Christmas lights and music and even snow! Here a picture of Noah and his cousin Riley and Aunt Anna. They watched Abby while we were gone! We are very happy Abby got to hang out with their dogs Jake and Darlah and got lots of love and attention! We picked her up this morning and Abby misses them already!

I'm 3 months old

Noah is getting bigger and doing more everyday! He has started to grab and hold onto toys and loves to smile! Tomorrow we are going down to Virginia with Grandma and Bob Bob for a week. We can't wait to just relax! Hopefully Noah won't mind the long drive!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

2 month check up

Noah had his 2 month check up today! He weighs 14 pounds 6 ounces and is 24 inches long! He is in the 90 percentile for weight and the 80 percentile for height. He is growing so fast! He also had 4 shots, 2 in each leg : ( He didn't like the shots too much and hasn't been the happiest baby tonight. He hasn't had a fever which is good but I think his legs are sore. His one leg is already bruising. I think he will be back to himself in a day or two. Here are a few new pictures!

8 weeks old

Noah is 8 weeks old today! He was having some tummy time earlier, which he hasn't liked that much lately, and he lifted his whole upper body up and smiled! It was awesome : ) I quickly ran and got the camera and actually got a good picture!

Starting the first week in November I will be babysitting 2 days a week for a little girl a month older then Noah. They are about the same size though. I think Noah may be a little bigger than her! I am really excited that Noah will be able to come with me. It will be fun to have him around another baby his age and it will be nice to get out of the house (and make some money too). I will have to get back into taking care of more than one baby at a time but its not like I haven't done it before!

Noah goes Monday for his 2 month check up already! Hopefully he will do alright with all the shots he is getting. Luckily Rick is off Mondays so he gets to come and be around for the day after!

Mommy's 6 week check up

This morning I had my 6 week check up! I was surprised by how much weight I have lost already. I wasn't sure exactly how much weight I had gained while I was pregnant so I had them look back at my first prenatal appointment and then my last and figure it out. I gained around 43 pounds! I have already lost 31! I was happy about that : )

It is crazy how fast the time is going. In two weeks Noah will already be 2 months old! He is all ready for Halloween and is going to be a penguin! You will have to wait until Halloween to see how cute he looks in his costume!

6 weeks old

Noah is 6 weeks old today! Here is a picture of him napping : ) He usually sleeps for 2-3 hours in the afternoon. We usually sleep in until 11 or so in the morning so he stays up for a while once we finally get out of bed!

He seems to get bigger every day and I already had to put away a bunch of clothes that got too small on him. He is fitting into his 3-6 month clothes already!

Today was our first anniversary! The past year definitely went by fast. We took this picture this morning and I think it came out pretty good! It's such a nice family photo, even Abby got in the picture : ) Noah visited with his Nonny and Grand-dad and Aunt Anna and cousin Riley this afternoon while mommy and daddy went to the outlet mall and to dinner. We missed Noah very much but he got lots and lots of attention and love while we were gone!

1 month old

Noah is one month old! He is getting bigger everyday. I weighed him earlier and he almost 12 pounds! He is doing great. He is a good sleeper at night. He only wakes up to eat and then usually goes right back to sleep : ) Last night he went 4 hours between feedings! He still sleeps a lot during the day but when he is awake he is very alert. Here are some pictures from today.

I think he looks like a football player in the picture above. The picture below was from when Noah was a week old! It shows how much he had grown.

Noah got a really cool Baby Einstein music and motion fish crib toy. He LOVES it and so do we. Last night we all feel asleep to the music : ) Noah loves the lights and moving fish. I have a video of him watching it but it won't upload right now so I will try to upload it again tomorrow.

3 Week Check Up

Noah had his 3 week check up today! He weighed in at 9 pounds 11 ounces (he is a very good eater) and is a very healthy little boy : ) He got 1 shot, Hepatitis B, which they normally give at birth but we decided to wait because they give you the option. He didn't like it too much but only screamed for a few seconds! Then he got to nurse so he was happy! At his next appointment he gets 4 shots : ( But that isn't until the end of October.

Noah is doing great! He is eating a lot and growing fast. We weighed him the other day (my mom has a baby scale at her house) and he is over 9 pounds! We go to the doctor on Thursday for his 3 week check up so we will see how much he weighs then!


On Monday night Noah enjoyed watching football with Daddy! He even got his first Bills jersey!

Well Noah is ready to eat again! Hopefully I will get to write again soon!

Breastfeeding and Baby Bjorn

I took down the pregnancy countdown from here and I also had one on our homepage!

Noah finally has started to latch on and breastfeed successfully!!!! YAY!

I also took a little walk outside with Abby and had Noah in the Baby Bjorn carrier and he seemed to love it! It is too hard to take the stroller out when Rick is at work because there are a few stairs to go down and Abby isn't the biggest fan of it. So I am relieved he likes the carrier so far : )

Things are going great and today is Rick's Friday so he will be home the next two days! We are very happy about that!

Update- 1 week old

Noah is a week old today and my actual due date isn't until tomorrow! Things have been going great! Noah is such a peaceful baby : ) He's been sleeping lots and we are having to wake him up at night to feed him! So we are actually getting some rest! He is very strong and already tries to lift his head and has a very tight grasp! The other day he actually held his own bottle (it kind of balanced on his hands but he looked so strong) Here is a picture of it!

When we were discharged from the hospital Noah weighed 7lbs 8oz and when we went for a weight check on Monday he had lost 2 more ounces. We had another weight check yesterday and he was back up to 8lbs 3 oz just an ounce under his birth weight! They were very happy with that. The nurse said they like it when babies make it back to their birth weight within two weeks and he was just about there in a week!

He isn't that interested in nursing yet but we are working on it! I am pumping though and he is getting lots of mommy's milk!

I didn't write too much on my labor and delivery because I am trying to forget! I was induced because I had signs of preeclampsia (my blood pressure was pretty high). I did get an epidural but lets just say it didn't really do its job! But we made it though and Noah was worth it all. I was dead set on not having anymore children for a day or so after the delivery but I am slowly reconsidering : )

I had an appointment this afternoon to check my blood pressure and its back to normal! While I went to my appointment (after daddy left for work) Noah was babysat for the first time by my mom, his Nonny! He was very well behaved! It was nice to not have to drag him into a doctors office again this week since he had two appointments of his own. He also is on prescription ointment for conjunctivitis in one of his eyes (which I guess is somewhat common in newborns). He doesn't seem bothered by it but it doesn't look too comfortable. Hopefully it will clear up soon!

Rick went back to work on Wednesday, had Thursday off, and is working again today. We really miss him when he's gone because he is so helpful when he is home! He loves feeding Noah and changing his diaper (maybe he doesn't love it but he does it with a smile). He has already gotten peed on quite a few times! He are a couple cute pictures of Noah and his daddy!

And I almost forget about Abby! She is surprising calm around the baby. She is curious about him but so far has kept her distance and seems to be adjusting to having him around!
