15 month doctor appointment

Noah went to the doctors Friday for his 15 month appointment. He weighs in at 26 pounds and is 31 inches tall. He has had a cough/cold for about 2 weeks and it turns out he had an ear infection. So he is on antibiotics for 10 days and got out of his shots for another 2 weeks. He goes back on the 23rd for a re-check of his ear and to get all his immunizations.

We ordered our Christmas cards from Shutterfly and they were supposed to be delivered last Thursday but we weren't home. UPS usually leaves packages from shutterfly but they didn't this time. So they left the little note saying they would try again tomorrow. They never came and when I looked up the shipping info on the package it had been checked into a UPS facility in Buffalo! This was around the same time that Buffalo got all that snow. Someone obviously messed up. Anyways the package should be delivered Monday, then we can mail out our cards.

I have 2 more weeks of school, so far so good! We have already lost around 10 people from the program. We have a total of 6 instrument tests and we have already taken 5! You get one retest and then if you fail(get below a 75) again you are kicked out of the program. I have passed all 5 and still have my "back-up" which hopefully I won't need. Our last test is this Tuesday. Then we have an exit exam the following week. I can't wait for the semester to be over with and to have a little time off!

15 months old

Noah is 15 months old today! We got an artificial Christmas tree yesterday and Noah loves it. Here are some pictures and a cute video of Noah admiring the tree and giving it kisses(which is his favorite thing to do lately).

A Little Devil!

Noah is being a Devil for Halloween this year. We went to the Halloween costume store and Noah got his hands on a mini pitchfork and refused to let to it go. He was being quite the little devil! So we decided to get him the costume to go along with his fork. We hide the fork in the closet until Halloween but here are a couple pics of his costume.

He finally learned how to get on and off his little ride-on all by himself! He is very proud!

I decided I better make a new blog post because it has been about a month since my last one. Noah is becoming quite the little man. He l0ves to point at everything. A few weeks ago when we asked him where his ears were he would point to his ears. Then if you asked him where his nose was he would point to his ears too! Now he likes to point to his tongue/month when you ask him where anything is. Maybe because we are brushing his teeth more, which he loves to do! He does know where his toes are and sometimes daddy asks him to put his toes in his mouth and he tries to put his toes in his mouth. He is so smart! He also loves to sit and build with his legos.

Noah loves to wave/blow kisses to everyone. When we go grocery shopping, Noah just loves to get everyone's attention. Of course everyone always thinks he is just so cute! He becoming quite the flirt. He also is very polite and signs please all the time. He continues to dance whenever he hears a song he likes and loves to clap his hands whenever he gets excited.

Noah is officially done nursing! I kind of had mixed feelings about stopping because it was such a big part of our routine for so long but it is working out good for all of us. He loves whole milk and really doesn't even seem to mind not nursing anymore.

School has been going good so far. It is a lot of work but so far so good. On Monday afternoons Noah has a babysitter who comes over for a couple hours. She is college student who lives in another building in our complex. He seems to like her so far. We are lucky Noah really doesn't seem have much stranger anxiety. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons Noah gets to go hang out with his Nonny. I think he is enjoying that as well! Noah is pretty good about letting me get some work done at night. Sometimes he just plays by himself or with Abby. While other times he will do whatever he can to get my attention. His favorite is climbing up onto the ottoman next to the desk and standing up on it(very safe of course). Noah loves Abby he always makes sure she gets a little snack whenever he eats and he chases he around and climbs all over her and Abby just takes it. She is such a good dog. Here is a picture of of Noah and Abby last year around this time : ) Aren't they just adorable?!?!

Here is Noah in the pumpkin patch last year. I love to look back at pictures! He seems to love pumpkins this year. We have already been to the pumpkin farm a couple time and he just walks around and touches all the pumpkins. He has a couple small pumpkins already.


I don't have any very recent pictures because our camera battery died and we haven't gotten a new one yet. I am trying to get the pictures from my phone to upload to blogger but for some reason it stopped working for me.

Noah found a tomato that was in my bag and decided to dig in! We still haven't found anything he won't eat!

1 year check up

We have been pretty busy lately! Last week we went to Philadelphia for a few days to visit Aunt Meggie. We had lots of fun. We went to a big outlet mall and Noah got to ride on a couple of little rides there and we went to the Philly zoo. Aunt Meggie also made Noah some yummy cupcakes and got number 1 candle to light for him.

Noah had a great Birthday! He loved seeing everyone at his party. He got some very nice gifts and really enjoyed his turtle cake.

On Monday Noah had his 1 year check up. He weighed 23lbs 11 oz (between the 50-60th percentile) and was 30 1/2 inches (75th percentile). He grew about an inch and a half since his 9 month check up! He ended up falling asleep after seeing the doctor before the nurse came in to give him his shots. He never opened his eyes when he got the shots, just screamed for a second and went back to sleep. Then we went down to lab to get his finger pricked for the lead and iron tests they do and he did great. He complain for a second when they pricked him then just sat and watch well they did what they had to do. He is such a good little boy : )

He has finally started to sleep through the night on a more regular basis, although he still doesn't like his crib too much. He still nurses a couple times a day and before bed. We still really haven't found anything he doesn't like to eat and he started drink whole milk a few days ago and is doing great with that. He has started to use some sign language. He will sign for milk when I ask him if he wants milk and he sees me sign it. We are still working on "more " and a few others.

Today my books and dental supplies got delivered. I started classes next Tuesday! I have 3 days left of work.

I have a bunch of pictures and a few videos from Philly and Noah's party but I am having trouble uplaoding them right now. I will get them up soon.

He says mama a lot and makes many other sounds. He loves dancing and will sit and look at books now too. It's hard to believe his birthday is at the end of this month already. July Update

We have been pretty busy lately. It's hard to believe the Noah will already be a year old next month. His first tooth finally popped through a couple weeks ago and is still barely half out. He has taken a few steps on his own (like 2 or 3) and cruises along the furniture. He also loves to walk with his push toy. The other day I brought the push toy outside when we took Abby out and Noah pushed it all around the grass and walked back inside by himself : ) He pretty much eats anything now. We haven't found anything he won't eat yet! He has also started to dance and it is super cute.

I found out last week that I was accepted into the dental hygiene program at MCC. I had been on the waiting list and someone withdrew. They only accept around 30 students each fall and over 300 people had applied! I met with the director of the program this past week and registered for classes. I start September 7th! I won't be able to work at the daycare anymore and will have to find another part time job. I already have a bunch of classes done so I will technically be a part time student but since its been a few years since I have taken any classes(and I have Noah to chase after) that is ok with me.

We have been swimming a lot lately, especially during the week that was in the 90's.

Today Noah thought it would be funny if he pulled my bowl of cheerios (milk and all) off the desk. I guess it was my fault for leaving it near the edge. He had lots of fun though playing with the mess and even got to have a little snack!
