Noah was born this morning on Friday August 28th @ 2:21am. He is perfect! I thought I would post a few pictures and will write more once we get more settled. I do have to say though that Noah might just be an only child! But he was worth it : )

Still waiting...

So we were cleaning today I came across my ring box with my rings in it that I had to stop wearing about a month and a half ago. I decided to see if they would fit and they would not even go past my knuckle! I guess my fingers have gotten a little more puff lately!

Here is a Abby! She got herself stuck under the table with her ball earlier so I just had to take a picture before helping her find a way out!

38 weeks belly shots

I don't feel as big as I think I look in these pictures which I guess is a good thing! I can't wait until Thursday to get this baby's weight estimated again because I think he is getting pretty big! Maybe he will come before then but I just have this feeling that he is to comfy in there and is going to stay in there for as long as he can!

Waiting...

We went to the doctor's again today and everything looks good. All the blood work they did last week came back ok and I didn't gain much more weight. I guess those are good things but I don't know if I am going to make it another week! We have another ultrasound scheduled for next Thursday and depending on how that goes we will see what happens from there. I say he is welcome to come any time now! I am getting pretty uncomfortable and even though it has only been 3 days of not working I am kind of getting bored! The doctor said not to do much and rest on my left side but I am not that good at doing nothing and sitting around! Anyways I guess we just have to wait and see...maybe this baby will surprise us and show up sooner then we think!

The Crib

Here is a picture of the other side of the baby's room! We got a crib mattress today and made little dude's bed. Even though he probably won't be sleeping in it for a while, it makes me feel more prepared! I love the turtles! I even found a matching lamp for his dresser on Amazon that should be here in the next few days!

Noah Nicholas

I think almost everyone knows but we have chosen the name Noah Nicholas for the baby! We have been working on organizing his room and hanging some things up. Here are some pictures!

This a picture looking into his room. We finally hung his name up over the window today. We have had the letters for a while now!

We decided to hang this in the living room. It is me and Rick when we were babies and once the baby is born he will go in the middle : )

And here is Abby in the baby's room, she seems very interested in all the new things we have brought into the apartment.

Even though I am done working now I don't feel as relieved as I thought I would. Maybe it just hasn't really hit me yet. We had our last childbirth class this morning so we are all done! I guess we learned a lot but whether or not we will remember it is another story!

7 lbs 13oz Baby!

We had our ultrasound this morning and the estimate of the weight of the baby is 7 lbs 13 oz! We got a few pictures but you can't see too much because he doesn't have much room in there to move around. My blood pressure was the same as the week before, still a little high. Since the baby is getting so big they sent me for some blood work to check my blood sugar and a few other things. They should get the results by early next week. We have another ultrasound scheduled in 2 weeks to do another weight check. If he is anywhere close to 10 lbs by then the doctor says we will have to discuss other ways to get him out, meaning scheduling a c-section if he hasn't come on his own by then.

Tomorrow will be my last day of work! I was going to try and stick it out another week but the doctor recommended that I might want to reconsider and stop working now. I also go to the dermatologist tomorrow afternoon. I still have a strange rash and am going to have it checked out again.

So now I guess it is just a waiting game! We will keep you updated!

Getting organized...and tired

36 Weeks, 2 days!

My mom came over tonight and helped organize! If you know my mom you know she is good at that kind of thing : ) We got tons of nice things at the baby shower this past Sunday! I think we are just about ready for little dude to come! We only have a few things left to pick up and do, like put the car seat base in the car which I hear is harder than it sounds!

I am getting pretty sore. The baby's head is down and pushing on my lower stomach muscles, just on one side, but it gets kind of painful. I also am having a tough time getting comfortable at night and when I do fall asleep I wake up and can barely move! But I am not going to complain because up until now I have had really no problems and we are getting so close!

Tomorrow morning is our ultrasound and we will get to see how big the baby is getting! I am very interested to know! It seems like he gets bigger everyday! The stork is getting pretty close to the end of the countdown : )

Not so Little Dude?

We had our 36 week doctor's appointment this morning and everything still looks pretty good. I gained a few more pounds, my blood pressure was a little high and my belly is measuring ahead of schedule! Next Thursday before our appointment we are having another ultrasound to check the weight of the baby to make sure he isn't too big! I think he is getting pretty big and by next week he will even be bigger : ) But we will have to wait and see!

1 month to go!

Our due date is one month from today! I made it through another week of work, even if it was only a short week it is is still an accomplishment! It's getting harder to get up and down off the floor and harder to move around in general! I have a nice 4 day weekend to relax and get ready for my last two weeks of work (if I make it two more weeks)!

Today little dude got his first Ralph Lauren Polo in the mail! I special ordered it because they don't sell the baby sizes in the store! It is adorable! Rick actually has one in almost the same color so they can match! It's baby blue with a yellow horse!

35 Weeks

I think that the black makes my belly look smaller than it is but that's ok!

We had our class this morning and got a tour of the birthing center @ Rochester General. It was very quiet and more hospital-like then I had imagined. But it wasn't too bad! We are getting closer and closer! I can't believe that it is already August. I have 3 weeks of work left and this coming week is another short one for me! I have Thursday and Friday off again. We go to the doctor again on Friday morning and then every week after that until little dude is here! I am looking forward to the baby shower next weekend! I think it will be a good time : )
